The active ingredient, Saccharide Isomerate, is a complex carbohydrate that binds to areas of the skin that contain keratin. These areas of skin have a high affinity to hold this bond, which allows its moisturizing effects to last up to 72 hours. This is why Pentavitin® can play a key role in long-lasting moisturizers and makes for a great addition to shampoos, conditioners, and other skin and hair Pentavitin® is orange in color and is provided in a liquid form. It is water soluble and is recommended to be added during the aqueous phase of a skincare formulation. The recommended usage rate is between 1-5% for skincare applications, 0.2% in shampoo, and 0.5% in conditioner/treatments.
